Yes, I've perused that thread as well as the one in electrical on rebuilding/repairing harnesses.
I'll be headed out to the shop this morning to get a good, critical look at the situation. I have the various crimpers and a good deal of experience with soldering so I'll likely go with the rebuild option.

If you go the replace route with the harness, then Reiner still lists them. He doesn't have a web site, so just send him an email asking for a copy of his stock list. The email address is GTReiner1@aol.com . On line parts listings are available from many places, including my site, but best to buy one. And you can read about your bike in the GT550 Field Guide if you want more data.

Me too. SINS tech here...on Boomers. Got stuck at E7 for a few years then made Warrant. Out of the frying pan and into the fire!! Retired in 1999.
