Why I love Amazon.com

I ordered a bundle of 50 cardboard parts bin/boxes from Amazon so that my Teutonic Need for Order can be satisfied while tearing down and rebuilding the Suzuki.
They came right on schedule, however...
Of the first 25 boxes I pulled out of the bundle to assemble, 7 were mis-cut and unusable. Some just a little so they wouldn't lock in place, some with entire sections missing.
I emailed Amazon Customer Service about 6:30 this evening. About 7:45 I got an email back saying they'd refund the entire purchase price and I could keep or toss the remaining boxes, whatever worked for me.
I was really just looking for say a 50% refund.
To date, this has been absolutely typical of Amazon. In the 10 years or so I've been dealing with them, I've had perhaps 3 faulty products and absolutely ZERO problems getting satisfaction. They have a surprising amount of motorcycle stuff too.

My experience with Amazon has been the same. I have had low cost items to return, which they also said "Just keep it", and refunded my money.
I like seeing another organized OCD mechanic here. Envious of the shelf space you have! Rebuilt my T500 in 2/3 of a garage bay (Last 1/3 is a mud room entrance. Think garage that you can almost park a Smart car). Store all of my parts in zip lock bags of various sizes, in plastic storage tubs.

It's self defense. I'm such a scatterbrain that if I DON'T stay organized, I can't find anything. I also bought a big box of cheap zip lock baggies and a couple of packs of string tags at Walmart. All the hardware goes in a baggie with a tag saying where it came from and then in a bin/box with the assembly they came from.
I took a grab bag of tools along when I went to pick the bike up. When we got home, my grandson was helping me put stuff away and asked "Where does this screwdriver go?"
"In the black tool bag, by the window on the workbench in the wood shop, in the screwdriver pocket on the right side in the middle".
The look he gave me was priceless.

You would be appalled at the way my garage looks. It's a disaster area.

Some folks are just comfortable that way.
When I was stationed in Japan in 72/73, I worked a bit for a Mom & Pop Yamaha dealer. He worked on the base in Civil Engineering and sold bikes as a sideline.
I cleaned up his shop one day, drove nails into the wall and hung up all his tools, cleaned up his parts bins, etc. etc.
Couple of weeks later, I when back and everything was in a pile on the bench again. He didn't say anything but I got the hint...

Its hard to tell from the picture , but i have been told by guys that rebuild gauges not to store gauges face down as it will allow the dampening fluid ( if there is any still left ) to run out .
