Wouldn't it be ironic, from the company credited with the dismiss of two strokes in competitions... :evil:

Could we ever forgive (or trust) the big H.? :roll:

Would we ever get a two stroke from them? 8)

I wonder where the exhaust port is...the valve seems like a compression release?

Maybe, if the exhaust port, is used to inject fuel, the valve could take care of scavenging the burnt gases?

You've got to get air in there as well remember.
A supercharger would be good and do away with crankcase induction.

Air seems to be inducted from the butterfly #34b in pic one;

What a smart move, would be, from the big H. to kill the two stroke engine, and then,wrong-footing the competition with such a (comeback?).

Maybe I am extrapolating a tad too much...

Environmentalists killed the two-stroke, Honda merely capitalized on it. Honda has built many awesome two-strokes, when it was required for winning races, but they were always a four-stroke company. Once they got four-strokes competitive (by running bigger engines) the writing was on the wall. I would love to see a new generation of two-strokes.

Another way to look at it, would be to imagine a swathe of antipollution regulations, in the so called emerging countries, which relay on two stroke two wheelers for cheap transport, and which account for the virtual totality of the market. in two cycle vehicles.

You want to build a clean two stroke? Here is the patent.

Now, see the smart move from Honda...?
