Discontinued air filter, what to do?

Hey fellas, so my air filter in my 74' GT250 is super old and disgusting, but I notice no one else carries them new (discontinued). I dont want to use POD filters as this bike will be ridden in all types of weather conditions and I dont want to deal with re-jetting etc... Am I looking in the wrong place? Any suggestions on what can be done? I wonder if I could mate a different filter to the box.
