Any other GP fans out there?
We may have lost Stoner, but we have gained Maquez, and more to the point, we have Vale on a bike that suits him. I must admit, I was scepticle about his ability to return to the "sharp end" after so long in the wings, but sunday's race proved for me that he is still one of the best out there. I'm looking forward to seeing him scrapping it out with George Lawrence, when he gets a better start.

George Lawrence

Talk about different riding styles. Lorenzo is like a metronome, clocking way at a consist pace. Vale seems to relish old school bar bashing and mind games and a run from the rear is his way of getting the job done. That's fine as long as his new best bud isn't out front clicking off laps.

ClutchSlow did a Biaggi and allowed vale to get inside his head until he ran off track. Cal will need to develop a new technique to deal with being attacked from the rear. He can be aggressive enough when he's on the attack, now he needs to refine his defensive aggression. Of course the fact that his bike is probably not as fast can't be helping there. he rode a great race up to that point with a very credible result.

Cal is doing great isn't he ! We are not used to seeing a Brit near the front in the big class, but as you say, Rossi is strong in combat situations, and he has proven that many times. He made a couple of early errors, which allowed George to escape, and that lad just doesn't make mistakes does he......but it looked like Rossi could match his pace, so I feel sure there will be some great scraps this season.....especially once Maquez gets his eye in too.

Ps. What the hell is going on with Spies?
