This summer Roy and I took on a touring trip from Calgary Alberta into the US and back. It encompassed the two provinces of Alberta and British Columbia as well as the four US states of Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
The trip was eight days on the road and a total of 2607 miles, we saw a lot of country and it was quite an experience in itself.

Typical Montana big sky country, these photos were taken near to the town of Wisdom.

And yet another angle, you really feel quite small when you can see clearly for MILES into the distance.

Thanks for your replies Ian and Geoff, it was eight days well spent on the road. There was lots of places we passed not shown in photos since I was riding, but I did take lots of videos of the interesting places along the way.

Back in the 80's we went up "Going to the sun highway" in Montana . At the time the road was only open 2 months of the year..not sure about now.
Your photo's makes me want to tour again Allan.
Maybe once we get things settled here with my mother we'll get back at it.
