Last week I miracled a GT500 front fork assembly with wheel and brakes for my T500 off Craigs List. The seller was parting out an already disassembled GT500 that his son had bought a few years ago with the intentions of building a custom out of it. Well as what sometimes happens life got in the way and he never got much past the disassembly stage. The bike was running when disassembled and has been in dry storage for the past eight years. Less than 10K miles, possibly only 8K but seller can't remember exactly.
He has most of the bike, minus front end of course, in various places around his shed. The gauges were used on a GT380 he used to own. The frame has been detabbed but I didn't look to see to what extent.
The best item is probably the complete engine which was running well when parked. The son did a light hone in the bores and replaced the rings. The engine has sat ever since and kicks over now. It comes with carburetors and throttle assembly. Seller would really like to move it all. He is a nice retired guy in his 70s and has no need for this stuff and wants it to go so it can be used. Very reasonable on his prices and will deal to shift the lot of it. Asking maybe $500 for the motor assembly with carbs and throttle, really don't know what the going rate is so is open to offers.
He is located just south of Atlanta in McDonough GA.
