For Sale: My 1976 GT750

It's on Huntsville Al. craigslist. I listed it on Ebay and some jerk in California bought it but demanded that I sign the title and send it and bill of sale to him before he would pay me. We've had it out over that with filing un-paid charges and many, many emails and he's about to do me in from the stress of this crap. Anyway, I don't know if I'll relist it on ebay or not, worst dealings I've ever had selling something. I'm not interested in it anymore and hardle ever ride it so it needs a new home, plus I want a new Silverado and can use the cash.

I hope you gave the jerk the bad review that he deserved.

Wow, that sucks...I hope the a-hole you were dealing with didn't register it or apply for title in CA. Hopefully he sends it back to you exactly the way you sent it to him. Then I guess you could apply for a duplicate title and then legally sell it. In Massachusetts a bike with out a title is basically worthless.

I never sent him the title as he wouldn't pay me first. I wasn't about to send him paperwork stating he owned it until he owned it by paying me first. Why somebody can try to buy something and tell the seller how to do it is beyond me.

I have a buyer in NY trying to do something similar. He just sent me a Bill of Sale proforma with absolutely ridiculous terms in it that he wants me to sign. I just told him that his BOS is excessive and other paragraphs give him all the protection he needs. So far no cash, and no cash = no bike.
If he sends cash, things change, but if not, it goes back out to be sold again.
People want to be protected from unscrupulous scam artists - I get that, but there's a point at which it changes from appropriate behavior to paranoid and I don't have time too indulge that.
BTW that bikes is too cheap. It includes some nice options like those wheels that are worth a premium in my opinion.

I ran it twice on Ebay and it didn't meet reserve the first time then a-hole bought it but gave me such crap you wouldn't believe. It had 72 watchers but only one bidder, I had hoped it would get in a bidding war between two but no such luck. Anyway, it's going to a good home of a board member.

It's a great bike. I have seen it several times at the Gap. Sorry to see you sell it, but I completely understand.
