For sale or trade: Nice 1974 T500 for an equal value GT750

I just got back from the Deals Gap meet and I made my decision which bike to keep. It was going to be either the T500 or my RD400. The RD gets the win for being an all around better sporting bike. Nothing against the T, it just wasn't made for sport bike work, and trying to make it into a sport bike goes against its nature I think. It does what it does well but nothing very well. It is a nice riding all around bike but the RD will smoke it in the twisties.
So I made my decision and the T will go. Next I want to build a GT750 along the lines of Lane's Blue Boy so I don't need a super clean stocker to start with. In fact, chambers would be a plus for me.
So a reasonable sale price for an outright sale, or trade for an equal value GT, or a rough GT plus cash, or let me know what you have and maybe work a deal.
Please email if any questions. The T is all stock, original, and everything works. 10K miles. The chrome is a bit tired but presentable, and the paint has some fading on the upper surfaces of the side cover and oil tank. This is a later bike so the factory has already done the trans fix by this time.
Clear title is in my name.

I saw this bike at the Gap. It looks as good in person. Seems like a good one.

Well, I believe I'm going to keep the T for a while longer. I Craigs List miracled a GT500 front fork assembly with wheel and disc brakes so I will upgrade the T out of the 60s with 1970s technology. The internal spring forks can be made to work much better than the original too soft external spring type, and the disc brake will be light years ahead of the drum. So with the front end swap and some good rear shocks the old girl will be ready for Deals Gap next year.

Incidentally the fellow I bought the front end from has most of the GT500 available. I will post up a separate ad for him. Nice guy and resonable to deal with.
