*Wanted* Suzuki GT550 rear engine spacer ##FOUND##

Post by Rustygt550 »

As the the title says, I am looking for a GT550 rear engine spacer as the PO must have forgot to put it in when he had the engine out

Thanks

A member of the Kettle clinic, kindly sent me a nice zinc plated spacer!

That's an extra part, right?

You need the spacer that the rear upper engine mounting bolt goes through? Suzuki shows its part number (09180-10030) being the same as for the GT750. If that's the case I'm sure I have one, although shipping from the states may be more trouble/money than it's worth?
No really... it's supposed to smoke.

Just went out & had I look at the engine( it's out of the bike at the moment awaiting strip down over Christmas holidays). It turns out its the lower rear engine spacer. I put the part number into my Suzuki parts cross reference & it also fits the gt750

Just looked at the spacers out of the GT550 engine that I have on the workbench. The upper and lower are both the same. 10.2mm ID, 16mm OD, 107mm long. If you can't find an original, cut a piece of pipe to fit.
Cliff.
