I need a GT550 starter clutch gear
I am rebuilding a 73 GT550. I have two engines and both have exploded starter clutch gears. I am going to delete the starter but I still need the gear to go behind the clutch assy to use as a spacer. Does anyone have one they would like to sell?

See service bulletin GT-26 for the clutch upgrade:

An upgraded clutch is available on eBay:

Thanks, I feel stupid because I saw the service bulletin and have been watching Ebay and haven't been able to find one. Thanks again

Re: I need a GT550 starter clutch gear
Back to square one. I bought the clutch assy in the ebay link and it is missing the spacer that goes on the shaft. It is unavailable seperately so this was a wasted purchase. Again if anyone has one I will buy it. I would prefer the old style, all I need is the gear to space out the clutch basket.

Contact the seller. He may still have the spacer.
Sometimes sellers include the spacer with the transmission or with a bunch of "misc parts".
