I need a couple of water and oil pumps to rebuild. Leaky seals not an issue but rotted shafts or damage are no use.

I have several of each. PM me with specifics, and a mailing address, and I'll send you some. Cheers.

I got an oil pump. No issues. $50 dollars takes it. Shipping included. No international shipping. If you or anyone else wants it, message me.

Richard - just curious. For the water pump, while I've had reasonable success with rebuilding them (and both Crooks and Reiner sell full rebuild kits including the mechanical seal) I've had the best success with just replacing the whole thing. I found the cost isn't too bad when balanced against the pain of having to futz with the thing.

Just my 2 ยข's worth.
The oil pump obviously is a different story.

Good points Ian.
I tried a couple of Teflon seals and they seeped slightly so they came out. The issue with water pumps tends to be corrosion in the shaft or damage where the impeller was dragged out of bed, and damage to the stainless steel seat after the graphite seal cracks.
I can get the mechanical seal, and most of the steel seats can be re-machined, but shafts are a problem if they are too badly damaged. It's not cost effective to plasma spray or weld and machine them as long as replacement pumps are available. If the shaft is OK a water pump can be repaired.
Oil pumps are fascinating. I never had a leaker until I started to look, and now out of 5 on the bench, 3 show signs of leaking, 1 had sticky plungers and one has a displaced end plate, and all 5 needed to be stripped, cleaned and rebuilt to remove debris and old sticky oil, plus 1 on which the cam shaft is badly gouged. I can probably save 4 out of the 5, but one is a really early 3 piston design that I would not use. The body and top cover can be used as spares though.
