Omar/Jemco 3-into-1 coating options

Post by jabcb »

Am planning on getting them for a GT750 but am undecided on the coating options.
They are available in ceramic coated, nickel plated & chromed. Am not interested in chrome.

Anyone have pic of the ceramic coated options?

GT550 nickel plated are here:

You know, that actually more closely resembles what I've seen for ceramic coating rather than nickel - looks really nice by the way. 8)

The description for the pics indicated it was nickel plated, but I think you are right.

I'm interested in seeing what the black ceramic coating looks like. (Wouldn't have to be a GT-triple pic.)

Rustoleum has a high temp paint looks similar (Ceramic or Niklel). Stands up well

I was using Mop N Glow, but found it was not stopping rusting. First I took all the Nitrate (bluish color from welding) off with large wire bush wheel on a hand grinder then painted with the Rust O leum Flat Aluminim color High heat. Works well so far. Low cost solution

Not a great picture, but here is my GS1000 with black ceramic coating on the headers and muffler. It begins to look dull after a while, but a quick wipe with a rag moistened with motor oil brings it right back. I think now days Jet=Hot offers a glossy black. http://www.jet-hot.com/coatings/premium-colors/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ceramic coating options are silver & flat black.

The GT550 pipes probably have the silver coating.

Flat black probably looks like this:

I had the pipe on my TS125 ceramic coated, nice finish (the base pipe condition has it's flaws though :D )
