Here's my new '76 GT500B.
One owner! Spoke to the bloke who bought it in Ballarat in '77.
Runs nicely, but a LOT of fettling to be done for sure. Hope I've done the right thing getting this... I've always fancied big 2 banger twins.
We'll see how she scrubs up eh?

I'd love to find one of those. Some guys have all the luck. That one looks really nice! I know pics don't tell the whole story, but that looks like a dynamite score.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

I do love the look of the 500 twin.

Very nice!
I've got one just like it... only, it's in about a billion pieces!
If it doesn't fit, force it! If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyhow!

Ok so she started up today. Nice. It needed petrol tank flushing/clean, carbs cleaned, fuel tap cleaned, oil tank flushed/cleaned, new fuel lines, spark plugs.
Started 3rd kick and ran pretty nicely. Maybe a shade too much piston slap, but no dramas at all. Let the the fettling begin!

Air cooled two strokes have some piston slap. The bigger the bore, more so.
If they haven't, they're not running.

Keep the bike, get rid of the wife.
You know it makes sense.

Upload pics to a site like photobucket.
Create a new topic under the "for sale or trade/wanted" category & include image links to your photos.
You will need to indicate the town your bike is located in because people will want to see it first.

getting rid of the wife had crossed my mind. But it was my own fault. I knew parking another bike in the living room was asking for trouble
