So, as per my previous post I stripped one of the outlet holes on my oil pump. Tonight I disassemble the works in prep to put in a helicoil. Below is what I found... Has anyone else ever seen this? Just fatigue? Bike only has 5k miles on it!
So I'm in search of a new oil pump - unles anyone has a plunger shaft they don't need????? Anyone?????

How unusual
never seen one do that before
I suppose it's a bit late to take it back under warranty
Cheers,

What a stroke of luck , if you hadnt stripped out the banjo bolt you wouldnt have found this issue until you would have had a engine problem

That's a great point Dave. I suppose it definitely could have been worse...

Well, I just got a pump from eBay. Here's hoping it does the job. Otherwise I'm up the creek.

Yay. I'm saying that in the smallest voice I can in hopes that I don't jinx the whole thing...
Put the eBay oil pump on the bike on Monday evening and after priming the lines, it worked right away. Fingers crossed.
