pj1 air filter cleaner???
I changed the oil in my gt750, then I thought I might as well clean the air filter which is a stock air filter and box. I cleaned the filter with gas, and then realized I had no oil to coat the filter with and then I remembered I had pj1 filter oil that I used to use for my dirt bikes, so I used it , and now I'm afraid it might be to thick or cause the carbs to clog? I read on another site that a guy used the stuff on a certain type of filter and it ate the damn filter??!!! not sure what type of foam filter it was but damn I hope it doesn't eat mine!!!! anybody use this stuff on a street bike?? it might make my miles per gallon drop because its so tacky and thick ??

Re: pj1 air filter cleaner???
Use ordinary gearbox oil or even 2 stroke oil. Just oil it and squeeze it out again. Enough will stay to do the job..
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Re: pj1 air filter cleaner???
It should be fine with the PJ1 filter oil. Have a read of the great article called "What's in a tune-up?" about tuning up Suzuki triples - it seems they prefer to have the filters quite oily, rather than under-oiled ...
