T350 Rear Sets

Hello,
I've been browsing this forum for a few months now and have found a ton of useful information. But, I've finally come across something that hasn't been discussed much that I need some help on.
A friend and I are in the process of a 1972 T350 Cafe build. Things are going exceptionally well, but we are struggling with adapting the rear sets to work. I bought a set of universal rear sets that are pretty standard and include all the usual linkage necessary. But, we seem to be struggling with how to make the brake work with the cable driven drum.
Any insight, places to search, advice, etc etc would be greatly appreciated.
I'm unable to attach photos, but here is a link to a guy who made some custom rearsets for his gt250. Picture of brake side rear set is about 1/4 of the way down... Not sure what parts he used to get that set up to work.
