Suzuki 2 Strokes

Bought new pistons and rings from cruzin image for my GT750. I know the rings go in with the writing side up, but the paper that came with the rings show:

TOP RING as 1R and T1 for 4 stroke / 2 stroke and
Bottom RING as 2R and T2.

My problem is both say RM 50 on them. Does the 750 have different rings for the top and bottom of the pistons.
Another curiosity is that the guy who bored my cylinder said one of my Left pistons was slightly larger than the Right and other Left piston so he bored the center hole a little larger to accommodate it.

I also bought the DVD for engine rebuilds out of the UK. The guy on the DVD does not use any gasket sealant on any of the engine covers yet whoever put these on before used it everywhere which has been a real pain to clean off. Does any engine cover need sealant? On the video, the only things that got the sealant was the case facing, water inlet tube, and bolt 13.

The guy in the DVD is correct. No gasket goo on any surface with a gasket - Unless it's a cover you are taking on and off regularly. On race bikes we often use grease on one face to ensure that side never sticks.

Crankcases upper and lower need gasket goo - hylomar or three bond are good and there are others out there but avoid cheap and nasty RTV (silicone)

Curse those that use silicone on gasket surfaces. It's not hard to remove - it's impossible. Stuff is impervious to everything including flame throwers, napalm and C4
On RedZone I used Permatex anti-seize compound on the cylinder base gaskets and copper spray-a-gasket on the head gaskets. Sealed it up tight and it will be snap to take apart if ever necessary

+1 on grease on gaskets and 3 bond on the cases with no gaskets .. it dries a silver color so it matches the cases better and it doesnt break away inside the cases to clog passages .

Does anyone know if the ring pair for a piston are exactly the same or one is for top and one for the bottom. Thanks //Pat
