Choke Pcs. What am I Missing?

I found the dentent spring and ball. I am ready to button it up and be done with it. But as usual, I have a problem. I am missing something, that I am sure of. All of the associated parts are obsolete and have been for a long long time. I have 2 screws that both look like choke lever screws. The one on the left appears to have the correct shoulder diameter, but that shoulder is shorter than the metal thickness of the lever. So what happens with that one is it tightens all the way up against the head and locks the lever where it can't move. The one on the right has a smaller shoulder diameter and the shoulder is way too long - even with those fiber washers. It leaves too big of a gap after it shoulders up to even capture the ball.
What am I missing? A spacer or something? I wish I had taken a picture of the parts no my last 550. It was / is set up correctly.

Contrary to the online fiches, you can at least see it on my parts list. All it calls for is a washer and a lock washer. The left screw wouldn't work at all and the right screw is still way too long
CRAP! So I guess I don't have the correct #70, or washer #71 is really thick.

I just searched by part number on Google. There is a couple on Ebay (for $17). It's the same nylon washer I already have.

Just pulled the screw out of mine to have a look for you. The screw you need is the one on the left. A fiber washer (#71) goes over the shoulder up against the head. It's approx. 1mm thick, 6.25mm ID, 12mm OD. A 4mm lockwasher (#72) goes up against the shoulder, acting as a spacer as well.
You could use a 6mm flat instead of the fiber washer AS LONG AS it's 1mm thick! Otherwise you'll have to double up on 4mm locks to act as spacers.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Cliff. I had to read it twice to understand what you were actually saying. Th spacer I am missing is the 4mm lock washer. Easy enough if I can find one. I can't believe no one else responded. They mu all be on leave.

I added a 4mm lock washer to the threaded stud. It stands off enough to function correctly now. I don't have enough room for a fiber washer though. I have a 1mm nylon washer and it's just a tad too thick. Need to find something to fit there as it is metal to metal now.

Sand down the nylon washer, a little at a time, until the lever will move.
