Time to fess up

Post by Coyote »

:? OK. How many of you guys have a "not sure where it goes :? " parts bin? I have several.
How many f you guys look for hours for something and finally give uo---and the next week you are looking for something else and find what you couldn't find last week?

Isn't that how bikes are rebuilt? I thought that was normal.

I have been sorting through odd GT750 parts for days and there are so many washers and shims that I have no immediate idea where they go. When I build the next motor at least I know where all those odd extra parts are now.

By looking for other things, I have now found THREE choke detent springs and 2 more balls. Stuff definitely takes a vacation or a time out. Tools hide out too. Especially sockets and adapters.

It gets really complex when there are more than 1 person using the garage , tools or parts you placed where you know they are just may not be there the next time you need them :?

Those parts bins are called the safe place! You know, you put something away in a safe place, never to be seen again until you're looking for something else and crap, there's that part you couldn't find last week and paid way too much to replace it!!
