Plug Diagnosis and Oil Consumption (with pics)

Hello all. Starting to ride the GT750 on short rides testing reliability issues. The bike has Jemco chambers and is jetted accordingly with Uni pods. I removed the oil pump and verified it worked prior to its initial start.

Here's a few pics of the plugs. They are a little darker than tan but look pretty good. (little bit of oil smeared on the tip).

Took her out for 30 minutes yesterday, I was pretty hard on her. Lots of hard accelerations (love the noise), minimal if any smoke once warmed up. I burned through 350ml of Motul 710 during the 30 minute ride, which I think is alot.

Any comments on oil consumption would be appreciated.

8) Hi,early road tests back in the day quoted about 250 miles to the pint (imp)
without doing a conversion...your consumption seems a little excessive ? lots of revs will make a difference of cause  Plugs look a little rich, mine are similar in appearance,so nothing to worry about.
Cheers,
Roger

Thanks for the input. I admit I run it a tad rich on purpose so that's good you noticed that! As far as ripping the throttle, yeah I was on it ALOT. I'll try and take it out next weekend on a long ride and compare. I remember when I was a kid riding little 125 and 250 dirtbikes and a cap of oil per tank was all you needed. I guess these big 750 triples suck a lot more haha.
