Does anyone know what color to use on the gas tank badges? It is a glittery Orange.

I used nail varnish & nail glitter, but I can't remember the colours. I'm no expert on that sort of thing so I asked the daughter in law! Finish off with clear nail laquer. A local women's nail bar offered to do tbem for me, but I didn't fancy sitting and waiting in there listening to women talk and getting strange looks while having tank badges painted!!

There was a video on u-tube of a guy that restored a gt550. He spoke of the glitter orange color that had chipped off. He found a color that matched almost perfect. He got the paint at a craft store such as Hobby lobby or Michaels. Cant remember the color he called it but I'm sure if you made a visit to one of those stores you could tell what would match by looking at the bottles.

I like sparkly badges. Orange/red nail varnish, red/gold glitter sprinkled on, then clear nail varnish on top.
Cost of nail varnishes and glitter was £3 from the local market nail varnish stall. I do love a bargain!!
It's best to take a badge with you to explain the whys and wherefores or they look at you funny for some reason when you ask for glitter nail varnish.......
The purists aren't keen, but I haven't been pure for a long time!!

This UK seller is reproducing the badges with the glitter paint. The problem I see is they are vinyl -- so they must be peel and stik
