GT500 Oil Injection Lines

Are the oil injection lines on the GT500 (Part #16820-15033 & 16840-15033) interchangeable with the injection lines on the GT250. I see that the part numbers are different for the two but they look to be very similar in appearance. I have a leak(s) on the injection lines on my GT500 and would like to find a good used set. I have not torn it down to check exactly where the leak(s) are but I do see air bubbles in the far right side line and oil on top of the crankcase when I run her. Too cold here in South Jersey to even think of tinkering in the garage.

Have some other problems I need to address on the bike. Starts fairly easily but will not stay idling off of choke for more then 5 to ten seconds even after being warmed up and ridden. Much harder to re-start after it stalls. Smokes like a banshee but have not noticed any drop in the transmission fluid regarding possible crank seal failure. All in all pretty good shape. I have had it for 2 years and am going to try to get it sorted one way or another for this summer so i can enjoy it. Will try to include pic of the bike. Thanks

South Jersey hey? I am a native of Toms River. Spent the first 25 years of my life there.. I sorely miss the ocean and good pizza. There are no oceans in Oklahoma and the pizza sucks :(

Coyote, a little further south then you. I am 15 minutes outside of Philly on the Jersey side . But have been to the "Saw Mill"‎ in Sea Side Heights for their world famous pizza a time or three and the Office Lounge in Toms River more then a few times.

Oil line compatibility for GT250 and GT500 equals zero. They are not the same.

Oil line leaks can be repaired.

There are check valves in the oil line crankcase fittings.
You may be able to clean them & get them to work properly again.
But don't try high pressure air as this will ruin the springs in those valves.

I have a T350 that would develop bubbles in the far right line when it was parked on the side stand for a long time.
But the line would fill back up if you switched to the center stand & left it there.
I think the oil was moving from the highest line (right) to the lowest line (left) when parked on the side stand.

As a general practice, I park my T-series twins on the center stand if its going to be there for a while.

Sorry, I don't have time for a more complete post.
Try searching … there are lots of posts about the oil lines.
