Hello all, New to the forum and will be looking for advice and info for the GT750 I will be picking up on Monday. I have seen this bike sitting outside covered with snow all winter. Now it's laying on it's side in the mud. I work with a neighbor of the bike's owner and he talked him into letting it go.
I'll post pics when I pick it up.

Seems a shame that someone could neglect a great old machine that way.......but it's your good fortune I guess !

I just couldn't stand to see it out there in the elements any longer...It looks pretty rough, from a distance I'm guessing a 1976 model. My co-worker said he was able to turn the engine over with the kicker. I'm getting it for the whopping sum of $50 !

Nice to see one being rescued. I have a red 73. The blue must have been the most popular color as I see a lot more of them. Good Luck. //Pat

50 bucks? Looks fairly complete. Hope he didn't toss the headlight bucket. Been a while since I've seen a Penton

I bought a 77 buffalo barn find. The bike had a fairing and bags at one before I found it. Gone was the headlight and all 4 turn signals. The shell was still there, with so very cabbaged up wiring. Turned out nice though after a year and considerable damage to my wallet.

Nice find. That's a K model by the way.
Indicators are available at about £100 for a set.
Please throw that fairing away, it does nothing for the looks of the bike!
A set of standard footrests will give a much better riding position, and you'll be able to use the rear brake and gears too.....

Fifty bucks!!?? The three black cones on the exhaust are worth that much. Good deal. It's not gonna be a cheap repair, but it should be worth it.

The headlight shell is gone I'm afraid...There were also matching ugly bags that matched the fairing. It must have been quite the touring rig at one time, there is an AM/FM CB radio in the dash of the fairing

I rescued this just in time...the owner said he was going to strip it and sell it for the scrap aluminum
The engine turns over freely with the kickstarter so I guess there is hope there...
Thanks for the compliments on the Penton. I've had that since somewhere around 1976

Welcome! Nice find, especially at that price. BTW I see two Pentons... The white looks to be a 400, the green behind it..GS125?

Behind the Penton is an Ossa Mick Andrews Replica trials bike...which also needs my attention.

WOW! Nice workshop and an enviable herd. You're in the right place for your Buffalo. There are guys on here that know more than the factory about Buffalo's. Also, it's the most popular bike subject.

Does anyone know of the best place to find a shop manual?
