Banjo appears to be dry. It looks like the leak is where the hose enters the banjo fitting. See the puddle of blue oil? Though messy, it should be an easy fix. The oil is not running down the line from above. The tank outlet and hose have no oil on them.

Looks to me as if the banjo is leaking. Is that blue oil I can see on the banjo?
If it were leaking from the pipe, we would expect to see it run back down the feed pipe and dropping off elsewhere.

I'll have a closer look tomorrow. I wiped around the banjo fitting, but not 360. I didn't get any blue on the paper towel. If it's the old nylon sealing washers that are leaking, I'm in luck. Thanks to Bloop, I have some stat-0-seals I can replace those with.
Got my new braided SS brake line yesterday. I installed it but haven't bled the system yet. I have a Cruzinimage brake line set I''d sell for 25 cents on the dollar.

Got it drained, the hose off w/banjo with very minimal mess. No mess at all actually. Cleaned it up, reassembled the hose w/ banjo using stat-o-seals and put more oil back in the tank. I'm going to wait a few days to make sure there are no leaks before the air box goes back on. I ought to get good at that. Has to come off a third time to put the oil pump cover on. That is providing everything works as it's supposed to. Could be a fourth or fifth time.

I don't get it. It STILL leaks. The banjo fitting is totally dry. The only othe place it can leak is where the hose connects to the banjo. It certainly appears to be tight. When I had the hose off yesterday, I looked it over for splits are cracks in that area. Found none. The hose is new. I'm not sure what to do to stop it now. Maybe I need to cut the hose off the banjo end a re-attach it. I don't know what else to do. This is my fourth GT and I've never had any problems in this area. It's always been assemble and forget.

Well, here's what I did. I cut off the wire I was using as a retainer. It certainly didn't feel very tight. Then I installed this zip tie in place of the wire. I got it very tight by pulling on the excess with pliers while pushing on the 'head' with a flat blade screwdriver. This should get it. I'll have to wait another 24 to see. The stat-o-seals did a nice job of sealing up the banjo to pump joint.

That solves that one...BUT REMEMBER...There will ALWAYS be another!
Try to remember this is supposed to be a RELAXING diversion from all our other pains in the posterior!

Hi,& there are people out there who think a restoration is a bit of paint & having things re chromed
