Battery Tenders

Both of my Deltran battery tenders fried. Both quit switching to the maintenance mode. They just keep right on charging 13, 13.5, 14,-14.5........ Both went in the trash and I ordered 2 made by Black & Decker. Made in China
. Anyway, I got them today and hooked both of them up. They have a single flashing green light that goes solid in the maintain mode. Both batteries were pretty hot already so it didn't take long to go to solid green. I put my volt meter on one and watched it for a while. It fluctuates very little. The battery stays at 13.2. It only drops back to 13.18 before it kicks it back to 13.2. So far so good.
It's at least twice the size of the Deltran's I had. This has a power cord instead of plugging directly in the wall socket. It's got plenty of cord on both ends of the unit. It comes with a set of clamps. Nice ones with plastic handles (over steel). It also comes with loops for mounting a pigtail to the battery, and finally it comes with a plug for a cigarette lighter socket. You can charge your car and never open the hood (pointless IMO) Cheaper than the Deltran too. I bought these at Walmart online for $18.94 each. Judging by size alone I'm betting there is more circuitry it these.
I forgot to mention it has a red light too. For reverse polarity for idiots that hook it up backward. It also illuminates if the battery is bad or shorted inside.
