Suzuki 2 Strokes

Hi all, I'm new here and glad to find this forum. I'm on my 4th X6 Hustler, and although it's been 30+ years since I owned one, I'm really looking forward to getting this one back on the road. It's really a worthy restoration candidate. I live in central Ohio and am looking for some help freshening up the motor. It runs, but I'm afraid it may need seals, It's smoking like a freighter out of the right side, and I'm not quite sure where to start. I'm hoping there may be an experienced X6 guru in these parts that can lend some direction. I've bought a few manuals, but they are pretty poor resources when it comes to diagnostics.

What do you mean by “some help freshening up the motor”?
Are you looking for someone to rebuild the crank and/or bore the cylinders for new pistons?
Or a rebuild where you either drop off the entire bike or perhaps just the motor?

Hey thanks for the reply. I'm using "freshening up" as a catch all and really need to talk with someone that is much more knowledgeable than me. I'm hoping the crank doesn't need rebuilt, but I simply don't know. Depending on location, I could either deliver the bike or ship the motor. I'm open. Thanks again for the reply.
