Hi,
A question about fixing of the rear indicators on my T500M.
I've seen photos with the indicator fixed directly into the forward threaded hole in the frame, with a nut and bolt through the rubber grommet of the rear hole, holding the seat. I've also seen the indicator stem with a bracket fixed to it, indicator to the rear seat holding hole and bolt through the forward threaded hole. Mine has the bracket, but doesn't fit flush with the 2 mounting points.
Hope that makes sense! Why the 2 different fixing methods?

On my GT500A I screwed indicators into forward holes because my chrome brackets were badly rusted, with bolt and nut in seat/fender rear hole.
When I bought good brackets, I had trouble with brackets not mounting flush so I used a washer between bracket and frame at front hole to make everything straight. I'm not sure if the bushing and rubber grommet may be off in the frame not allowing a flush mount.

That's exactly what I'm experiencing. The rubber bush in the seat mount hole doesn't allow the bracket to recess in, leaving a gap at the front hole. I'll do the same and get a spacer for the front hole.
Thanks for the reply, I was getting frustrated, I completely rebuilt the engine but got stumped by an indicator mount!!
