How far can the cylinders for the T500 be bored? If the cylinders are currently 71mm how many bores are left before they need to be re-sleeved? This is a street bike.

Hi Ray,

T/GT500 barrels can be re-bored to 72mm, but only aftermarket forged pistons from Wiseco/Wossner are available to this size. Other pistons are available up to 71.5mm.

Re-sleeving barrels is possible, but not a straightforward operation.
