Hi,has anyone used part number 09168 - 06002,new number 09168 - 06004 washer/gasket for oil line union, also used on the union that attaches to the filler neck for the radiator, rubber hose runs from the radiator sub tank to this union, the washers/gasket prevents the union from leaking coolant !
I believe Suzuki have change from a plastic washer/gasket to something else, just wondering if anyone has replaced theirs recently ?
Cheers,

They switched from the original plastic washer to aluminum crush washers.
For the oil lines a popular, better & cheaper alternative is M6 Stat-O-Seal washers from McMaster-Carr. http://www.mcmaster.com/#stat-o-seal-washers/=p14kvn
Sorry, don't know about ordering them in Australia.
McMaster-Carr is the just the retailer, someone else probably sells the parts in your country.

My 76 750 still had what I believe was the original plastic washers on the filler neck banjo. Same washers on the octopus banjos. You can buy an equivalent plastic washer at any major hardware store. Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc. They also sell fiber washers, that work just as well.
One other thing - the aluminium crush washers are a one time use only. As jabcb mentions, if you can find them then the Stat-o-Seal's are the best option, but copper washers are often easier to find and will work as well - plus they can be re-used by re-annealing them.

If at first you don't succeed, just get a bigger hammer !
