Kickstarter Pawl part number

Post by Ronin7 »

Does anyone have the part number for the kickstarter pawl? I checked on bikebandit.com but I can't seem to locate the part number.

Thanks,

Nathan

Thank you sir- looks like the Pawl is number 4 in the kickstarter exploded diagram.

Much appreciated.

Just to follow up on this thread. Finally had the cases split. My Suzuki mechanic friend went through the bottom end for me. All was good with the engine in general but on the Kickstarter it was definitely a trashed pawl. Put in the new ones and we should be good to go. He said the internal gear of the mechanism looked fine.

Yes sir! do you know much about their history. I have been researching and gathering all the info I can. I managed to track down one of the former UK distributors that now lives in Georgia and even exchanged a couple of emails with him. I don't have my notes with me right now so his name escapes me.

I expect that's Ian Kennedy then, used to live up the road from me in muswell hill, London, he had a couple of Lyster bikes one of which was a space frame type with a commando engine that one of his employee's Andy Goldsmith used to race.
