If anyone else wants to offer some data, and can verify what year the engine actually is, then send it to me and I'll add it. Once we have a couple of dozen, we should be able to see a pattern if there is one. When I get back to Canada next week, I will add in the ones that I have recorded. 8)

Updated - in addition, I have a small stack of barrels, but no idea of what they came off of so I haven't included them. I'll be over at the lock up tomorrow and will get a few more off of engines I'm sure of. 8)

Yup the pattern is just a bunch of numbers/letters so far, and having a larger amount would be helpful. So those of you who have not provided any information yet, it would be great if you did have a look on your cylinders.
I do see we have a few EE series stampings so far in the list.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

I've got 3 '75 barrels and none seem to have any markings, assuming I'm looking in the right place (right side of barrel on the bottom flange?). Perhaps somebody could post up a picture of exactly where we should be looking...
No really... it's supposed to smoke.

Josh you looked in the correct place, the right side at the base of the barrel under the liquid cooled badge is where the stamping are located.

That only applies to early barrels Allan. Later ones are stamped on the rear flange, bottom right - just above the injector oil banjos on the right cylinder

Correct - I meant to mention that also.

Just added a few more - I'm not seeing a pattern of any kind, and wonder if perhaps its a maker's mark, which would be similar to a batch number in a way. If so, then duplicates should start to show up if we get enough samples. 8)
