Acid Stains Removed from Exhaust
Not complete. Just something to show you guys to buy myself more time. Lol ! As I mentioned, I will give thorough details with more pictures, etc. of what I did and how you could do the same. But, I need more time as I explained earlier. Polish in video had not been used up until this point. But, will be to complete the process and improve it. Until then, feel free to be critical. Re: Acid Stains Removed from Exhaust
Allow me to send you a private message tomorrow night as I had a very long day today. I'll share it with you. I decided against posting anything about it in the open forum. Only because, I don't want to see prices go up on used parts.

Re: Acid Stains Removed from Exhaust
Huh?
Your logic is hard to understand.
What exactly do you think will happen in the second-hand pipe market?
Do you really think you're on to some sort of second-hand pipe selling gold mine because of this?
I'm unconvinced.
A series of sometimes blurry and badly-lit stills is normally a sure sign something rather dodgy is transpiring.
Crap or get off the pot.
Either this is something anyone can research and work out for themselves, in which case you're just being deliberately boastful and recalcitrant, or you're bullshitting in the hope of scamming a few bucks off unsuspecting folk.
Acid 'staining' is etching of the chrome, IOW some chrome has been lost in that process - it's not like a scratch that can be easily polished out.
It's also entirely possible to rub/scratch/polish through chrome into the metal underneath, and (slightly) polished steel wouldn't be that far from (slightly) scratched chrome...

That's to bad too as I was looking forward to seeing what was involved in this cleaning process.GT750Battleship wrote:Well, things have gone very quiet...not a reply on the "MAGIC" stain remover, by its author ?

From my work so far on my exhaust pipes to get the stains off I am finding out it takes a ton of work. I have no positive results either to show for it yet but my point is I really doubt if someone is selling used Pipes with Acid stains that they are going to take the time and work to remove the stains for a few more bucks in selling the pipes.
From what I have seen on Ebay used pipes are not clean and even with multiply pic's it is like they are hiding the condition of the pipes on purpose, the dirtier they are the less damage they show, at least that seems to be the case.

Those listed are past Suzuki's, I changed my Signature just now to clear that up.GT750Battleship wrote:Nice collection of bikes you have there, only one in my shed.....but familiar with the GS750's & GS850G's nice bikes.....
Cheers,

Presently all I have is my 74 GT550, its in my garage and I went ahead and got a motorcycle lift for it too, should be easier on my lower back.
I need to rig something up with this lift so I can use it with my atv too.

Re: Acid Stains Removed from Exhaust
I think you'll need another three, one for each corner......
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

LOL, Have enough room for one more but the other corners are taken up with my Truck, it stays parked inside.Alan H wrote:I think you'll need another three, one for each corner......
Found a 72 GT750 locally but asking way to much $ and it needs way more work than my 550, one project at a time, please.

Re: Acid Stains Removed from Exhaust
Message sent. I will gladly send that same message to any member that has been on here and has more than a dozen or so posts. Those that can't understand the reasoning for this or act like 9 year olds. Can get a life. I never said, I wasn't willing to share. Common sense would tell anyone. That if someone can easily find a way to remove these stains. Prices go up on used parts. I would think that we could all appreciate prices not going up on used parts. But, I guess I was wrong. Some people are just plain ignorant. That I do know. Maybe, it's just what's in the water in Australia ?SW550 wrote:Me too.ArticusMax wrote:I would be interested to hear how it is done.
