Anyone else with a GT380 cafe racer set-up? Did you use a shorter than stock clutch cable? I have clubman bars on my bike and am curious what is a good length cable. Considering having custom cables made by barnettclutches.com.
Thanks!

Take the bar end loose.
Hold it against the lever perch at the length you think it should be.
Turn the bars side to side while holding it in this position. Feel for binding or pulling. When there is none you have your new length. I always add a little bit just for piece of mind. A small amount longer than it needs to be is way better than It being too short.
If your current cable is good condition you should be able to find a local shop that will shorten it for you.
If not Terry Cable and Motion Pro will also do custom cables.

You can also easily modify the cable yourself. Individual parts can be bought at Flandersco.com. Measure the wire end pieces and tell them what you need. To modify it, you will need a solder gun, cable cutters and a small ball end hammer. I used this set of instructions to modify my throttle cable.
