Well, Ive been posting a lot of questions, gathering info and parts. Ive decided to start a thread on my GT750 build. This will be my first bike Ive built so it will be a good learning experience. I picked up a couple Buffalos, a 72 with a frozen motor and a beat up 74 with a rebuilt motor.

Im not really shooting for a Cafe style bike, but something low, longer, almost like a salt flat bike.

Heres the 72.

Heres the 74.

And heres the plan.

I picked up a set of forks from Kevin (Drag Bike, and a very nice guy) which will lower the front a lot and I had the swing arm stretched about 3 inches. Here it is stripped down to see how she is gonna sit.

I had a small tank made for the oil (you can see it in the photos). I wanted to clean up the mid section and will move the electronics to under the seat. I had to cut the number plate out a little to clear the shocks, not sure if I like the look. I also cleaned up the frame, got rid of all the tabs that wont be used.

wow....very nice....you are making a ton of progress. I really like your plan (photo). Ive seen lots of pic of modified GT750's over the years, but have not seen that one. That bike will turn a lot of heads when your done....in fact, its already started. Just catching Dave's attention has already put you in another league. Keep up the great work!

Nice project. I love that low mean street drag race Hot Rod look. It never occurred to me to use a Norvil race seat. It works well.

That 74 has short pipes! Did a PO cut and weld them?

odbuffalo,
Killfile from ADV here. Good to see your post up on the forums here as well.
I can't wait to see more progress, as I mentioned on ADV, I quite like what you've done with that seat!
