Has anyone tried installing one of these on an older bike? Wondering if it might work on a T500. It looks like it could be a pretty universal application.

I did purchase one of these setups but wasnt able to use it as the lever will not reach around the handle bar switch assembly and the throw of the slave cylinder is not long enough .. at least for a gt750 .. about 160$ wasted :( Image

Dave,
Would that work with a regular M/C clutch master or would the bore be all wrong ?

I bought a Honda hydraulic clutch lever and slave cylinder but it's a regular "push" type so that won't work with a GT750 "pull type" arrangement.

Thats a interesting thought Richard , the units use mineral oil so i dont know what effect it would have on the slave cylinder if you used regular brake fluid .

Update: Found out from magura that slave cylinder that will fit the T500/GT500 is the one made for a Yamaha XT660. Also, they said that they have a master cylinder that will clear the stock switch. If you have a different bike and don't see it on the application list, contact Venhill in the UK and provide the info they ask for on their site. They will email you back with the right model based on the dimensions provided.

I'm low budget so I got one off ebay for a pit bike. The problem I had is that the pull rod needs to be shortened and the slave cylinder has to be fitted first and then hydraulically connected and the cheap units are not designed to be bled in teh normal way. I have a Honda clutch master cylinder. I should check teh bore on both and see if it's possible to make one system out of both.
