On post 8, the wiring diagram there for the T500. That looks similar to mine on the 250? Could this be correct? Does the suffix T250R have any significance also? Thanks.

R is the model year. 1971.

The T250 wiring diagram is similar to the GT250 diagram but it doesn't have a voltage regulator.
BAS (Bike Acquisition Syndrome) - too many bikes but have room for more

Thanks jabcd for your old post on wiring a Tympanium rectifier/regulator into a T350. Did my J model using your circuit diagramme and it worked out just as you said it would.

Getting a little desperate now looking for one for my T250. Every one I've found so far is for the 6 wire ign' switch layout. Can anyone help me out please? :(

Does your ignition switch connect to the wiring harness in the headlight bucket or under the gas tank?

A few aftermarket switches for about 20 GBP on the UK eBay using the search string “suzuki t250 ignition switch”
