gt550 charge fault

Hi
Battery will not getting charged, and rectifier and voltage has been controlled, and says ok, I'v been told. Bruses has been changed.
Now I would like to know, about the stator is ok.
I'v just bought a RAZE multimeter, and would like to know how to use it, to control the stator.

You don't control the stator, the voltage regulator controls the rotor!

Pull the plug that has wires going directly to the rectifier, Look at the socket and there are three connections that have yellow wires on them, now put your tester on AC volts and with the engine running (tickover) test between two of the connectors, then another two, then the last two so that you have tested between each pair of connections (1+2, 1+3, 2+3). Write the tests down and post them here. If you don't understand this, I would suggest you get an electrician to help. Do you have a wiring diagram? I can email one if you haven't.

If you get a similar voltage on each test (probably about 15 volts, but may be higher or lower!!) then the generator is working. If you rev the engine to about 2000 rpm, the test voltages should be higher. This voltage will then go to the rectifier to be turned into DC and charge the battery. With your tester on DC volts and the plug replaced, start the engine and put your test leads on the battery. What is the reading? Rev the engine and does the reading go higher?
Post some results and we can go a bit further.

I have now controlled the three wires. Multimeter on 200 ac, engine runs, and the display says only 00.3 at all of them.

I,v heard something about I should try to measure with OHM, from the multimeter. And then the display don't may show anything, if generator is ok.
How do i do this exatly?

Its a good idea to disconnect the battery when you take ohm readings.
If you are careful & know what you are doing then you often don't have to, but if you make a mistake you can damage your meter.

Make sure to read the note.

Your bike has either a Kokusan or Nippon Denso alternator.
If the brushes are parallel to the crank, then you have a Kokusan alternator.
If the brushes point toward the crank centerline, then you have a Nippon Denso alternator.

Disconnect the alternator wiring connector from the wiring harness. It will have either 4 or 5 wires.
The 3 yellow wires are for the stator & the green wire is for the rotor.
Ignore the blue wire if you have one -- its for the neutral indicator.

Set your meter to the 200 ohm scale. (The omega symbol indicates ohms.)

To check the stator:
1) Measure the resistance between each yellow wire & ground. You should get an open circuit for these readings.
2) Measure the resistance between each pair of yellow wires. You should get a small value that is approximately the same for each pair.

To check the rotor:
Measure resistance between the green wire & ground. Reading will depend on which alternator you have.
2 to 5 ohms for Kokusan & 10 to 20 ohms for Nippon Denso.
