Suzuki 2 Strokes

New to me 1975 T500 just got it running. Runs fantastic from 3000 rpms to wide open but boggs off the line. Carbs seem clean. Slight air mixture screw adjustments no more then the width of a screw driver doesn't seem to do anything for the bog. Air screw range from 1 1/8 to 1 3/4 turns out. Mains are 102.5 with air pods. Stock exhaust. Am i looking at lean or rich. The mains to big to small? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you possibly have blocked pilot jets....or it may be that they are just too small for the extra air flowed by the pod filters. If the engine is running weak at closed throttle, it may make some pinging sounds and run a little jerkily too on the over-run , especially when good and hot.

Not sure on the advice .. but i was going to suggest opening the choke a touch when its bogging to see if it helps ( running lean )

Ok before I take carbs of I'll apply some choke to see if conditions change. It idles great runs smooth just cant get out of its way off the line without double clutching or high rev before dumping the clutch.

If it idles great, the pilots are clear. You problem is probably the needle height. Raise the needle (drop the clip) and see if that's better.
