the PO stuck the badges onto the tank with some kind of silicon adhesive because the clips that hold the pins on the back of the badges are missing .
can you get them or will i have to do the same thing,
if so what is good for this?

The clips are still available from Suzuki under part number 09148-04005, but there is (as usual) a snag. If you are using reproduction side badges from either Reproduction Decals or Badge Replicas, they won't work as the mounting pins on the back of the badges won't line up with the clips. The recommended mounting method is to cut off one pin, and use either an automotive double sided trim tape, or silicone adhesive.
