1973 T 500 with pod filters and stock chambers

I have got my 1973 T 500 running with all stock parts and settings. I'd like to switch to pod filters. I really don't care about power I have a GSX-R 600 race preped rocket for that.

Right now the stock jets are 97.5 needle at third position. Seems to run well. Smokes like a mofo, but that could be the oild still burning off from filling the crankcase with 2 smoke oil. I have yet to run her on the road yet, but the air filter is shot. I wanted to buy pods instaed of buying a new stock filter.

What jets are recommended to start with? I have 105's and 107.5 jets handy as well as the 150's that the original owner put in from one of those crappy keystar kits. This basically killed the project for the guy since he could never get it tunning after the carb rebuild.

Any advice from you folks would be great.

Also whats the best type of pad to run in the front drum?

Has anyone had any success running a big ole capacitor to eliminate the battery?

Thanks,

Dennis

Here is an idea. Instead if buying stock Suzuki filter elements, it is easy enough just to pick pu some stock foam filter (comes in a sheet) and cut yourself a pair if filters to fit on the metal filter frame.

Yea from what I have been reading that seems the best course of action. Now what type http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... ilter+foam" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They list different PPI what I am assuming is the level of filtration size of particles it traps.
