1969 T305 Raider
Hello
I've bought a rough, barn find 1969 T305 Raider. Although it kind of rolls, It needs basically everything. I'd like to start assembling a pile of parts and do a restoration next Winter when the snow falls.
I'm wondering, when I am searching eBay and the like for parts, will parts from say a 1968 T305 or Hustler or any of that vein work on my bike? Which other models does the '69 Raider share parts with?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 1969 T305 Raider
The T305, T250 & T350 share a lot of parts.
Use an online part ordering system to lookup the part number, then use the part number to find what other bikes have the part.
Some Suzuki dealers provide good discounts via their online parts ordering system.
Dillons is one of the ones I use: http://www.buymotorcycleparts.com/suzuki_parts.htm
You might find a printed parts manual useful. Several are available via eBay.
Keep in mind that NOS parts on eBay are often more expensive than the Suzuki dealers that discount.
Have fun with you project.

Re: 1969 T305 Raider
What I found when gathering all the required parts for our 69 T350 is the difficulty in finding them .In 70 everything became more common and easily obtained From switches to speedo & tachs.
Be patient as the parts will pop up once in awhile at a good price.
Last fall we managed to get a almost new speedo for less than $40 and a NOS Tach for $50.Cables are available as are piston/rings at CHEAP prices..$24 for 2 NEW Std pistons and about the same for rings.

Re: 1969 T305 Raider
I thought the T305 was only made for 1968. Trivial point.
Take carbs off and see if water damage. There is one extra pilot jet: first one you see with bowl off right at surface of carb body. That is obsolete (not sure how important it is…). If not much water damage you may want to soak that one a while to loosen a bit. You can get everything else new (Needle Jet, main jet, pilot…. If Jet needle for some reason bad, I think the Keyster kit for T350 is for the early one and the same jet needle. Keyster float valve OK and works on T305 (please verify.. been a while). Keyster Bowl gasket OK. Would not use anything else but pure Mikuni for all other jets. Crusinimage on ebay T350 kit is complete junk.
Pop head off at least and see what size pistons. There was a good lot of t305 piston std, 0.5 and 1.0 on eBay low price compared to T350.
The head gasket from T350 works. Be carful the one for t250 will not even if they say it does fit ...Smaller bore.
All other engine parts same as T350/GT250 (early). Crank, etc. Oil pump has different rate but same gasket kit as T500 if you need (look on eBay... someone on this post did all the leg work for it).
Oh, for a 305 its fast.

Re: 1969 T305 Raider
Was it made for 1968 model year but sold in 1968 and 1969 some countries. I mean did antyhing change between years or just carried over?

Looks like Suzuki sold the T305 as a 1969 model.

Re: 1969 T305 Raider
I did briefly own a 68 T305 Raider last year, it was a 68 and titled as a 68. The 68 had the chrome tank panels, rubber knee inserts, suede seat with buttons, and the engine cases were painted silver. I would post a picture but this is all I get:
