Great data Ian. Thanks.

And to think that we had to special order a case of BelRay 30Wt fork oil for our race Hondas. And still the damping is barely noticeable.

Honey could work... I used to put second-hand motor oil in the forks of my Nighthawk, but it was going through a litre a week... Don't know if that was in the honda manual...

Do you guys recommend 220cc fluid per tube? I'm going to try 10wt silcoline and see how that feels

For what model and year of machine ? If you are asking about an R/J/K/L or M T500 then that is what Suzuki recommends so would at least be a starting point eh ? I have most of the specifications posted on this page - just check the 'Specifications Index' for your specific model year.

If at first you don't succeed, just get a bigger hammer !

Yes 220ml is the way to go. If you put more in thinking it will improve the damping all you will eventually do is blow the seals out.

I wonder?? I wonder if anyone has ever tried Marvel Mystery Oil. Like ATF, it has no viscosity rating, but it's pretty magic stuff. When I had my Maxima, I used a quart of it at every oil change, The engine stayed clean and the oil didn't coagulate like so many oils do. ( black glop on the filler cap)
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
