Looking for T350 top end

Post by relic »

I'll be rebuilding the top end on my '72 T250 next winter and would like to convert it using T350 parts.
I need usable (or suitable for rebuild) cylinders with carb flanges, heads and carbs. Matching pistons if within clearance spec would be a bonus. (I have usable T350 exhausts).
Seller would have to be willing to ship to Canada (at my expense of course).

Thanks!

Not sure if you are aware or not but I believe you will need to clearance the cases to make that mod. I have an old aftermarket 2 stroke book that talks about that hop up and it noted that the cases would need to be cleared for the larger cylinder sleeves.

That said I did that swap on a GT250 and had no issues no need to clearance the cases. By the time the GT came out they apparently had the cases over bored.

Thanks for this info. I wasn't aware of that. I've done some searching and its confusing to sort out just what fits what.
Part of the problem is that I see 1972 250's listed as "T"s and ""GT"s. According to suzukicycles.org they were GT's everywhere but north America where they were still T's in '72. (I'm in Canada and my bike is a Canadian model)
I don't know if that is correct?
I've recently had a piston ring failure on the right side that took out the piston and cylinder and rebuilt it with 250 parts so my 350 upgrade is less of a priority. But if its a fairly simple job and the parts come along at a reasonable price I'll still consider doing it.

thanks!
