74 T500
Just wondering if I can fit the Gt500 front end on my 74 T500 as I am not happy with the forks and front drum. Anyone done this?. Will the Gt front end fit? Obviously I`d need the whole front end I guess, from the triple clamp. Any advise or help here would be great. Steve.

Hi Steve...the GT500 front end will fit straight on complete with triples. But you might want to seek out a twin disk front end, as the single is barely, if any, better than a properly set up drum with quality shoes in my opinion.

Ok thanks for that, I wasn`t really doing it for the brakes more because I`m just not happy with the forks with the external springs etc, they are primitive.

GT500's are kind of rare. You have one spotted?
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

I think GT500 forks suck, too. I think (it's been a long time) I put GT750 forks on my GT500 . They will protrude up through the triple clamp about an inch. You can use two disks on that if you want.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.
