Looks like the bad old days are back!
Another 12 trying to register with details that are just stupid - names, ip addresses, bikes, country of origin etc. etc..
All banned by ip, id and other things.
Pity they can't be banned automatically, but it only takes a couple of minutes.......

And another half dozen. Dud registration means instant permanent ban.

Let me explain again. I check ALL ip addresses on new registered accounts. If the ip's aren't where the newbie says or the email is dud, they are banned permanently. If the name they wish to use, or the bike they say they have is dud, they are banned. If there is ANYTHING 'wrong' with the registration, they are banned. Geddit?

I know what you mean, bud. The messages and updates are for all our members to show what's happening in the background. It appears that I'm the only moderator now as Evans Ward last posted over a year ago and isn't contactable now, so I have to keep my eye on 'happenings' like these people who start off wrong. They aren't going to make our enjoyment and my 'job' any more pleasurable, I'm certain of that, but if they cause me more work, I'll make it as difficult as I can for them to make more problems on here. Trust me on that one!
A few years ago, something similar happened and at that time newbies were approved by an auto email reply to a 'real' email address. The spam and crap took a lot of sorting, so I made it that all newbies had to be approved by a moderator. After our recent outage that was sorted by Scorch (Administrator) the mod approval was deleted, but I reinstated it to save work.
Why these idiots want to jigger our (or other) forae up, I cannot understand.
Maybe they just need to get a life.
