Very nice GT550 J-K tank

Post by Coyote »

This is a tank I bought off fellow board member TL1Ram. As you can see, it is in way above average condition. The only difference in the J,K tank and the L, M, A, B tank is the petcock location. On this early tank the petcock is nearly 2" rearward of the location on the later tanks. Ther is only one shallow dent jusy ahead of the filler neck as seen in the fifth picture. I believe this could be filled with just glazing putty.
I prefer to trade for a later tank in similar condition as my bike is a 75M OR you can make me an offer.

I have the tank badges that will go with this tank if someone wants them. This tank may fit a 380 also, not sure myself. If you want to practice your painting take this tank and practice than sell it on ebay once you get the paint right.
