This is what I started with:

And this is where I am going with it. No fairing. It will have the classic Suzuki blue metalic frame and silver bodywork with blue racing stripe down the top center. Now if Jim still has some of those classic Suzuki decals?

Don't know if it will be painted by Deal's Gap but I will be there with it none-the-less.

Currently has GT500 front end with GS rear thinned and survaced brake rotor on the front. RD350 Yamaha DG style swinger modified to fit T250 frame. NJB shocks. GSXR rearsets. Solo bum stop seat. TZ style fiberglass gas tank. Rear aluminum 2.15 RD350 rim. Front rim is 2.15 rear off of a T500 relaced to GT250 hub.

Everything delugged 'cept for oiltank, sidecover, and battery box mounts.

Anyone have an idea for a nondescript sidestand setup that doesn't hang out?

Had to by clip-ons, headlight ears. Other than that and chain and sprocket, I am trying to build this soley out parts in the shop.

For the sidestand, just make a prop that fits over the footpeg. I could not get the center stand or side stand to fit my GT250 after I put the pipes on, so I just gave up. Makes me regret not shaving the center stand tabs and the plate for the side stand before I powder coated the frame. The number of times it will end up somewhere that isn't my shop on the PitBull stand I can probably count on one hand, so just make a little portable stand.

Two small round tube sections just bigger then the peg, two angle iron sections and a small section of chain between the two legs and you're done. If you want to go even easier, just make it a single stand with a wider "foot" and it should hold.

But turn the top tube 90 degrees and slip it over the non-folding peg.

krwalsh, had that thought. I do have a triangle dirtbike stand I can use but the have to carry it on my person when riding is no what I really had in mind to do. Would like to weld one on the frame that sits higher as the bike will be lighter anyway and the stand to be out of the way when cornering.

I've tried to think of ways to make it fold or make it attach under the seat, and so far no good ideas. Some day when I get my ignition issues sorted I'll turn my attention to this.

Results have a few bolt-on & weld-on side stands. Looks like one of them might work.

I'm putting a weld on universal Triumph sidestand bracket on my bike. I got it for $35 on ebay to fit 1 1/8 frame tube. The seller is Triumphwizard. You can mount it at any angle you want and in what ever location on the bottom frame rail to stay out of the way of the kickstand and rearsets.

I also picked up a Triumph speed 995 used stand for $10. It is made out of aluminum and nice and lite. It requires mods to open up the pivot bolt on the bracket a little bit. It will also require a 1/8" spacer so that it opens and retracts to the right location. As an alternative, you could get an older model Triumph kickstand '68-'82 to fit the bracket with no mods. I went with the 995 stand to save a little weight and it was cheap.

I really like the shape of the seat. What manufacturer and model are they?

It was an e-bay seat. I shortened it and curved the back up slightly.
