1972 GT550 Project for Sale - NYC - $1 per cc

Post by Geeto67 »

Ebay yanked my auction because I listed it as a parts/project bike but I have a title (basically they wanted the extra $20 in fees they get from selling a bike vs parts):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Suz ... 19c9311edb" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

so I am trying to see if I can get some interest before I relist it on FeeBay.

No I do not have the original drum - you are welcome to stalk the pits at an AHRMA/WERA race and try to mug the guy I got this bike from for his drum since he bought it only for the drum. Before it was raped of its stock front end it was a running riding bike. It has however been sitting for about 2 years now (1 year in my possession - little less than a year in his). It will need all the usual. It has a GT750 dual disc front end I took off a T500 years ago on it now but the calipers need a rebuild.

I can deliver within a reasonable distance (less than 100 miles - no tolls and you pay the gas on my tahoe and trailer).

come on guys - someone has to show this bike some love.

So if you have a bare but titled frame they would want you to list it as a complete motorcycle? Why does it seem at times that Ebay is not really interested in making money? How much money do they lose annually from making the small value auctions too costly for the sellers to bother with?

Their point to me was it was only a difference of less than $20, it was a nearly complete motorcycle, and I should stop being so cheap. Bastids
