Oil Tank Filler Cap

Post by RING_DING »

I notice that the new SGP oil tank caps do not have breather holes in them. The first pic shows the old cap with the breather hole between the O and the I.
Unless I am missing something, I am going to drill a breather hole in my new one!

No need to drill, the newer flat top cap has an internal breather design down the side of the threads. Just make sure you have the inner plastic and rubber bits assembled correctly.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

Thanks Allan, I would never have known! I assume I can use the original inner plastic & rubber or did they change as well?

Allan, here's a pic of the old internals which I was planning to use with the new cap. Let me know if these will work.
